How Much Does It Cost?

How much value do you get by attending a Chippewa District Activity?  With the economy struggling and the cost of everything rising we need to get the most value for our money.  There are many activities you can do with your son, while there is activities that are cheaper most cost quite a bit more.  Even if the actual ticket or admission price is less, the amount of time you spend at the event is quite a bit less leading to the event actually costing more.   This does not even take into account the quality of the activity just the amount of time spent at the activity.  While many of these events are quality family time, none of them offer you the most quality, fun, and educational time you can spend with your son.

The file linked below compares the Chippewa Activities to other activities you may do with your son. It illustrates how Chippewa Activities are some of the best value activities you can do with your son.

The BSA is putting Scouting on the map!

That’s right! The BSA is putting Scouting on the map all across the nation! The Boy Scouts of America will have its own joining Web page with information on Scouting, plus an actual Google map application that will help potential Scouts and their parents find packs, troops, and crews in their communities.

How will it work?

In a nutshell, unit leaders will be able to update their unit’s Google “pin” – the bubble you see on Google maps – through MyScouting. They can add their unit meeting time, location, phone number, unit Web site address if they have one, as well as a contact name for the unit. It’s easy!
